“The Carolina Outdoorsman Show” made its debut back in 1992, broadcast on WGGS-TV-16 in Greenville, South Carolina. The show has been recognized by the South Carolina Outdoor Press Association and has received numerous awards as “Best Produced Outdoor Show” in South Carolina. Now, the longest running outdoor show in the Palmetto state, 2012 marks the beginning of the TWENTIETH, fifty two week season for this popular award winning show.
The show is produced and hosted by Monty McGuffin, a lifetime resident of the area. Mr. McGuffin has over forty years of hunting and fishing experience in the area. His expertise, wit, personality and humor have made him a local favored celebrity.
The Carolina Outdoorsman Show is taped on locations in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, eventually expanding range throughout the south. Targeting all freshwater species, great strides are taken in an effort to keep the show interesting, informative, offering instructions and showcasing new products that will aid anglers in their pursuit of favorite game fish, and most importantly, “Just plain fun to watch”.
