About Monty McGuffin

Monty has fished the lakes of the upstate of South Carolina since he was six years old. That is over forty years of upstate fishing experience on Lake Keowee, Lake Jocassee, and Lake Hartwell. He has lived in Westminster, South Carolina his entire life.

He has pursued practically every freshwater species available in this area throughout his fishing career. His passion is fishing for trophy bass on Lake Jocassee, his favorite lake! Monty also enjoys hunting wild turkey and whitetail deer in the surrounding foothills area of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Monty owns " Showcase Video Productions", the production company for the award winning series "The Carolina Outdoorsman Show." Monty produces, directs and hosts the long running outdoor show. His facility also produces commercials, corporate videos and occasionally a wedding video.

Monty also offers his professional service as a fishing guide. These services run year round for trips on two local lakes. "Spend a day with me and you will know the lake and you will know me."
